  • Rochester Healthy Community Partnership (RHCP) began in 2004 as a partnership between local community organizations and researchers to address health concerns of the community. Its first project was addressing tuberculosis (TB) prevention and control in the community.
  • RHCP matured by creating operating norms, establishing meeting schedules and adopting community-based participatory research (CBPR) principles. RHCP has also grown to include other dedicated partners from community-based organizations, area schools and universities, local medical centers, and many community volunteers.
  • RHCP has become experienced at designing and carrying out programs for health with community partners who identify health priorities within their communities, using a CBPR approach.
